Chances are you’ve heard the phrase the grass is always greener on the other side. This isn’t always the case though. As you may be well aware of sometimes getting greener grass comes with a cost. That cost can be money, but sometimes it’s more. In this case, the cost of green grass has cost some people their livelihood and families. Netflix is no stranger to cannabis-themed shows. Not long ago they took a stab at a cannabis-themed comedy called Disjointed. It started out strong but didn’t last long only running for two shorts seasons. Now Netflix is at it again with another cannabis-themed film.
The Grass is Greener on The Other Side
A documentary focusing on cannabis called “The Grass is Greener” is set to roll out sometime in the not-too-distant future. The trailer for the show will be airing conveniently on 4/20, a favorite holiday for cannabis consumers. The Grass is Greener is a documentary done by hip-hop pioneer, legend, and cannabis advocate Fab 5 Freddy. He also co-produced the film and directed it.
The Grass is Greener is a documentary that is set to help explain the link between cannabis, art, and music. Herbal inspiration has helped legends like Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, and many others find brilliant performances within themselves. This documentary also aims to show how the war on drugs is not a war on drugs; it’s a fight directed towards minorities.
Or Is It?
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and this is a documentary that will hopefully show a lot of people this truth. Countless people have suffered over laws that should not be. The days of more research is needed have passed. Our voice is strong, and we are not wrong. Cannabis should be legalized, and “leaders” who do not support this should be penalized. If cannabis was part of the war on drugs, and this war has failed then shouldn’t those who sparked this war be held accountable for their war crimes? Imagine if we flipped the script and started incarcerating them.
