It seems that every day there’s a new brand of product coming onto the market in the cannabis sector. Very rarely though is it a new product with a new delivery method that is set to disrupt the norm. Rapid Dose Therapeutics just introduced a new QuickStrip™ technology that will allow cannabinoids to be delivered rapidly into the bloodstream without the need for smoking or vaping.
These new sublingual strips are merely placed under the tongue or between the cheek and gum and will rapidly dissolve on their own. This delivery method completely bypasses the gastrointestinal tract and goes straight to the bloodstream. Not only does this help to promote a quick onset for cannabinoids but it also drastically increases the bioavailability of them.
Other Benefits of the QuickStrip™ Delivery Method
The new QuickStrip™ delivery method can work not only with cannabis products but also with other therapeutic products such as nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals. Rapid Dose Therapeutics currently has 3 different product divisions which include a nutraceutical division, a pharmaceutical division, and a cannabis division. The cannabis division is working directly with LPS in Canada to help bring to market THC and CBD products based on this proprietary technology.
This isn’t the only new and innovative solution that RDT is looking to create. According to Mark Upsdell, the CEO of Rapid Dose Therapeutics, “We have an opportunity to do many things from an R&D perspective. We will continue to expand into the health and wellness marketplace as we go forward. We have the right ingredients to propel RDT — the facility to expand, strategic relationships, R&D and the capital to grow the business and revolutionize drug delivery.”
A Miracle Solution for Many
The QuickStrip™ delivery method could be a miracle solution for many individuals that are unable to or have difficulty swallowing. While there are other alternatives such as patches and topical products, having an option that they can utilize that will enter the bloodstream quickly could drastically change their quality of health and well being.
