If You Haven’t Yet, You Should Read; The Wild West: Canada’s Legalization of Marijuana by Jon Hiltz
Looking for an entertaining and informative read about Canada’s road to cannabis legalization? Journalist, Writer and Director of Business Development for Canadian Licensed Producer, INDIVA Ltd – Jon Hiltz’s new book “The Wild West: Canada’s Legalization of Marijuana” recently hit the shelves.
Available through Amazon, this book provides readers with an insider view of how marijuana became legalized in Canada.
The grey market developed into a juggernaut. Licensed producers were fighting for market share and unlicensed cannabis dispensaries could be found on every street corner. All of this occurred while law enforcement scrambled to keep up. It was a long road to legalization, fraught with many questions, risks and dangers – ethical, moral and logistical.
Jon’s view from inside this multi-billion-dollar industry chronicles the mad dash free-for-all that took place in Canada over the last year-and-a-half as cannabis became the biggest topic in the country. As a result of the dangers of the grey market, to the rampant speculation about the direction of the industry – the author has his finger on the pulse and aims to set the record straight for readers hungry for the truth.
Jon cuts through the clutter surrounding 95 years of cannabis prohibition and propaganda to discuss the social, political, medical and financial impact of legalizing cannabis in Canada and around the globe. The book spreads its dialogue around creating a balanced and enlightened view of cannabis. It also spoke about how it has become re-integrated into society.
